Cruising Association

The Windward Cruising Association (WCA) charters sailboats each year from Haven Charters in Rock Hall, MD located on the eastern shore of the Chesapeake Bay. WCA members enjoy big boat sailing on the Bay at a fraction of the normal cost that an individual would incur. We have an organizational meeting early each year. At this meeting; officers are elected, the sailing season is determined and members pick their sailing dates using a well established lottery.

The boats we charter are typically 30’ - 35’ sloops with an auxiliary diesel. Amenities on these boats include; Bimini, Cockpit table, Transom boarding ladder, Roller furling genoa, Self-tailing winches, Hot & cold pressure water, Head with shower, Refrigeration or ice box, Alcohol or propane stove, VHF radio, Depth sounder/knot log, AM/FM stereo/CD, Shore power & battery charger, Coast Guard equipment, Charts, Cruising guides, Nav tools, Binoculars, Hand held spotlight, Hatch screens, First aid kit, Charcoal or propane grill.
